XOMBO Platform supports the Squid HTTP Accelerator. Squid works in conjunction with your HTTP server to cache commonly requested files & pages. In addition, Squid can be configured to work as a load-balancing server for multiple HTTP servers. Squid gives XOMBO Platform a speed-boost and relieves stress on database & web servers.

Squid is configured at the network level and does not require specific configuration within XOMBO Platform. It is optional. XOMBO Platform will detect if Squid is in-use and will validate sessions accordingly.
